"A man goes searching for a cruel way to end the life of his tyrannical boss, he comes to the home of a mysterious witch doctor who practices voodoo and grants the wishes of those who seek him out. But all of his remedies come at a price!"

In 2019, a director named Jason Farries, famed for his online feature of "An Inspector Calls," approached me to do the sound design and re-recording mixing for his next short..." The Voodoo Man."

I was tasked with creating sound effects, cleaning up dialogue, and mixing it all together with the music ready for the festival circuit. As this was a 5 minute short it took only a small amount of time for me to do but I made sure to put my best foot forward, as I would with any other film. As this was a fantasy film, I had lots of fun creating the soundscape and sound effects to give an eerie voodoo feel.

At the time of writing this, The Voodoo Man has currently gone onto win several awards including the gold award for Best Mystery Short from the Independent Short Awards LA.
